I absolutely love living in Salt Lake City, and while I love visiting all the well known spots like the Leonardo, Temple Square, and everywhere else I stopped on my recent bus tour, I love finding the “secret” spots too. You know – the ones that not everyone knows about, but the ones that are hidden gems in unexpected places.
A few weeks ago, I finally made it to Capitol Reef for the first time! It’s the least well-known park in Utah, but it’s just as amazing as any of the others. My friend Melissa (pictured in most of my photos) and I only got to spend a day there, but I can’t wait to go back and explore some more! One of the most popular hikes in the park is Hickman Bridge, so it was the perfect spot to check out for a first timer.

I’ve lived in Salt Lake City for a total of 16 years of my life, but there are so many things I never knew about it until this weekend – like, for example, the fact that Utah was the birthplace of the very first artificial heart, or that one of our museums has the largest collection of dinosaur fossils in the world. I learned where the Governor’s Mansion is, that our local zoo has a new baby zebra, and that the Great Salt Lake has up to a 12% salt concentration. And all of this because I took a bus tour around the city with US Bus Utah!
It has been a hot minute. The past two months of my life have been crazy, with no end in sight. I completely skipped over a goals/rewind post last month, so I’ll do my best to update you on everything that’s been going on around here and reflect on the goals I made in April!

Finally, I’m back with part two in my Hall Home Tour series! I have been working on my shelf gallery wall in my living room for months, so I thought I’d share the process and how it all came together. This is the first and only space I have actually finished in my house so far, so I’m pretty excited about it.
