As you may know, when we went to Los Angeles for a weekend a few weeks ago, we didn’t have anything planned and pretty much winged it most of the time – exploring the city, ducking into interesting shops, and taking it easy. We did end up doing some fun things (besides food & Harry Potter World), so I thought I’d make a little list so you can pick and choose for your next trip to La La Land!
Since things are starting to calm down around our place, and we’ve been in our new home for almost five months, I decided I will finally start sharing our home tour and process piece by piece. For the longest time I didn’t want to talk about it here (or anywhere) at all, because of how frustrating and emotional it all was for me, but now that I’m a little bit removed from it and getting around to making it our own, I feel ready to open up about it and share the little advice that I can.
So before I get into posts about the actual space, I thought I would let you in on what went down in the process of buying our home.
February turned out to be yet another crazy month! I keep thinking life will slow down a little but I think I need to come to terms with the fact that it probably never really will. I’m sure you agree!
Anyway, I’m excited to recap all the fun things I had going on this past month and set some new goals for the month ahead!
Aside from visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Colby and I went to Los Angeles last weekend with one purpose in mind: eat as much delicious food as possible. We showed up without any sort of plan, pretty much winged it the whole time, and I think we fulfilled that goal.
With so many restaurants to choose from in the city, it wasn’t easy to find the best, but we had some pretty dang good food while we were there. So if you’re headed to the City of Angels anytime soon, check out our ratings so you know where we ate in LA, including where to go and what to skip.
This past weekend, Colby and I got back from our second trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in California, so I figured it’s high time I wrote a blog post about it. Even though this version of Harry Potter World isn’t as big or as detailed as the one in Florida (so I hear), it’s still amazing in its own right and I would still rather visit Hogwarts than Disneyland. It’s true.
The first time we went, in May 2016, it was just a month after the Hollywood Wizarding World had opened, and our second visit was just a few days ago (in February 2017). Our February trip was less crowded, but honestly, not by much. Both times we had an amazing experience and just like last time, I can’t wait to go back! So, let’s dive in!
