Is it overkill to introduce two features in a row? I’m doing it anyway. This one is called Story Sunday and it will entail Colby and I each telling the same story from our two different points of view. Hopefully it will be somewhat entertaining for you every other Sunday. Today’s story is known to us as the day we could not find food and it was a disaster.
Last summer, Colby and I went on a trip to California for the wedding of one of his friends. We had only been dating for a couple of months and it was the first trip we took together.
Colby went to high school in California so he drove everywhere we went (there are way too many roads to figure out over there). Our only plans for the four day trip were to go to the wedding reception and go to the beach. Pretty straightforward. We were staying with his sister so we also took time to hang out with Colby’s adorable nieces and the rest of his family.
Everything was going well until the day we decided to go to the beach. We woke up, got ready, and headed out, figuring we would just get some food on the way. Colby said he knew a really good restaurant and that there should be one close to where we were going, so we Google mapped it and started driving that direction. We were both already pretty hungry before we even left, but figured it wouldn’t be long until we found food.
