So, tell me: what is your least favorite part of booking a trip? Maybe it’s the flights (I feel you on that one – way too expensive) or maybe it’s the struggle of trying to get time off work (so difficult). For me, it’s booking the hotel. I am a total bargain hunter when it comes to where I’m going to stay on a trip, especially since I know I’ll mostly only be in the room to sleep.
What this eventually means is that I end up staying in the sketchiest, crappiest hotel (let’s be honest – motel) I can find and the whole time I’m there I feel a mixture of creeped out and disgusted. But no longer. Because Airbnb is the greatest thing ever.
When Colby and I roadtripped through Northern California and Oregon a few months ago, we were Airbnb newbies. We had heard so many good things about it, though, and since we were only staying a few nights in each city, we decided to give it a go.
